Even though Moscow is not the most expensive city in the world, it fell to number 3, finding reasonable prices for food is difficult. Finding cheap food in Moscow is almost impossible, except for those who look very, very hard, or read my posts.
Several people told me about Yolki Polki so I made a mental note to find it and looked for other cheap restaurants. Unfortunately I did not find many others. The good news is it is a chain and has several locations in Moscow. What’s even better was this is traditional food, not fast food with no culture.
First we ordered Broche, or beet soup. I have to admit, it was the best I had ever had. (Stand by on that, I have another layover and I am up to the challenge to find a better one.) Next was the meat and cabbage pie. Not bad but a great value for the price. Finally we had the chicken scures. To wash it down, we had a Russian beer. Again, I have to admit, the beer was very good.
The final price came to 600 Rubles which is around $20. We could have kept that under $15 very easily, but we were hungry and had a very persuasive waitress. Would I recommend this to friends? Yes, and I am. Enjoy this great restaurant as you save money on food in Moscow!

One of the best Free Attractions in Boston for Independence Day is the Bunker Hill Monument and Museum.
Here is where one of the First battles of Independence was fought. It is an obelisk, like the Washington Monument because the founders of the US belived it should be pattern after Ancient Greece and Rome, which is why the US calls itself a Republic.

Back in World War II when France was invaded, several people were trained by the British and air-dropped back into occupied territory. Jean Moulin was one of them. This museum is dedicated to him and his efforts to free his countrymen.
The museum is on top of the Gare Montparnasse Train station which makes it very accessible. The Museum goes through the life of this resistance fighter from his actions during the invasion to when he was interrogated, tortured, and killed. It gives a great view of life in Paris during Wartime. Lest we forget.
The Museum is connected to the French Resistance Museum connected by a theater which gives perspective of the normal Frenchman in World War II. If you want to get an idea of how the War really was for those who lived under the thumb of Nazis, or understand what occupation of your country would be like, this is where you need to go. If you are a history buff, or a military enthusiast, you need to go her to see what underground war is like as well as fighting for your country when Democracy is gone.

California Science Center is a free hands on museum. It has several exhibits dealing with inventions, biology, and my favorite, Air and Space. There is an Imax Theater and special exhibits which require an entrance fee.
The Air and Space section explores Air and Aircraft, Humans in Space, Mission to the Planets, and Stars and Telescopes. You can also slip on a pair of wings and go into a wind tunnel or work the controls from the cockpit of a Bell-47 Helicopter. There are also an A-12 Blackbird, Bell X-1, and a T-38, among other aircraft, that you can explore.
This is only the tip of the iceburg. There are several exhibits to explore that will keep you busy all day. Not bad for no cost. To see more of the Top 10 Free Attractions, go to the Los Angeles section of the NonRevWebsite.com To see free attractions form around the World, go to NonRevWebsite.com.

Paris is known for great food. But it usually comes at a great cost. Fortunately, one of our members showed me where the great dinners are found.
The St Germain area of Paris is home to many great restaurants. Some of which are very reasonable, around 15 Euro, and just as delicious as its more expensive counterparts. One of these places is La Citroville. It is a small place with terrific meals.
A full meal consisting an appetizer, Entrée, and dessert costs as little as 12 Euros. The selection was extensive and very delicious. Everyone in our group thought it was well worth the effort to find it.

No, you don’t have to pretend to be the Pope to get into the Vatican Museum for free. This museum with thousands of masterpieces worth millions is free of charge to those who can read a calendar. If you go the last Sunday of the Month, all the areas are free. This includes the Sistine Chapel with the remarkable ceiling. But there is still one problem that I have the tip for solving.
The Problem is there is too much to see in one day. There are so many rooms that if you tried to soak it all in, you would never see the last and most important piece, the Sistine Chapel. A person who worked in the Vatican and is now a Tour Guide told me the secret. When you enter go all the way through the Museum and as you walk notice what catches your eye.
This solution has you go all the way through getting an overview of the Museum with plenty of time to view and absorb the Sistine Chapel which is really why you go here to begin with. Then if you have time left, you can go back through and look more closely at the things that caught your attention. And if the line to get in is very long, this secret could save you wasting time and missing Michelangelo’s masterpiece.

Video of The New Porsche Museum
Like some of you, I have been counting the days until the Porsche Museum was opened. With the opening of the Mercedes Museum in Stuttgart, Porsche did everything it could to top it’s rival, from cutting edge architecture to user friendly high-tech advancements. The result were incredible.
For 8 Euro, you can gain access to over 100 years of German Automotive Engineering at its finest and a personal audio guide. The great about the guide is it explains pieces in the museum at the pace and structure that suits your personal desires without disturbing others. Besides the audio guide, there are displays of cars and components coordinated with video whose feed goes directly into your personal tour guide.
This is a racing enthusiast’s museum that any engineer would love. From the very first display, an electric hub drive, the talk is about speed. The rest of the museum explains how Porsche took basic principles on light weight, aerodynamics, and power, and kept refining them until they reached the panicle of where they are today.
